Loyalty Dice

Loyalty Dice is an Android and iPhone app that gives customers prize incentives to return to their favorite businesses, building customer loyalty and doing it in a fun way. Customers snap a shot of a business’s QR code using the app, and are giving a chance to “Roll the Dice” with a chance to win prizes instantly, or acquire points with can be added up with multiple visits to win even more prizes.

I was approached with the mission to redesign the bland site that Loyalty Dice was heavily advertising, and to tighten up the company’s branding, making a more cohesive, attractive and cleaner web presence.

The result is a dramatically bolder website, with clear calls to action for merchants to sign up their businesses and for users to easily download the app for either iPhone or Android platforms.

Sentry Services

Sentry Services is a fiduciary in Los Angeles which helps those in need of professional guardianships, conservatorships, and trust management.

They needed a logo, website and business cards that demonstrated their professionalism and to help build trust in potential clients.

Guitars 4 Troops

Guitars4troops.com is a non-profit organization that donates guitars to our servicemen and women overseas.

I heard the story about guitars4troops on an NPR radio segment, and was very impressed with the idea. I visited the website and saw that it was a very basic website that, with all of its media coverage, had much more potential to generate more exposure and update the look than was currently being utilized. I emailed Robin Weber, the owner of the website and operator of guitars4troops to see if she would be interested in working with me to revamp the website.

Both my parents served in the military, so I know how important supporting our troops overseas is. My father missed us tremendously while in service in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War, and if providing a simple relief like a guitar can help him, I think that organizing to send guitars is an effort worth supporting.

I also play guitar myself, and have since I was 12 or 13, (I’m 29 now). The endeavor resonated doubly with me as both a guitar player, and a family member of two parents who took time away from their children to serve.

I donated my time and services to recreate the guitars4troops website. I used WordPress to allow a dialog via comments to posts between those donating guitars and the servicemen and women who were receiving them overseas. This was a great opportunity to combine several passions of mine, music, design, and a desire to support those who leave their lives and families to serve for us back at home.

Plushland

Plushland is a Los Angeles based company providing a world of high quality, hand crafted plush animals that are cherished by young and old alike. Plushland’s main focus is working with non-profit charities like the March of Dimes, the American Diabetes Association, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and many others, to raise charity awareness and fundraising dollars through the sale of their lovable, huggable bears.

This project consisted of a rebranding of the company, and a simplification of the ordering process of their previous website. A more robust ecommerce solution was implemented, and the purchasing process was streamlined to increase user conversions and expand to new markets.

Grass Ninjas – UCI Ultimate

The Grass Ninjas are the University of Irvine’s Women’s Ultimate Disc team. They needed a content managed site where they could post updates like tournament and practices schedules, as well and use the site for reaching out to alumni and sharing team information.

The solution was to create a custom WordPress theme with heavy custom illustration that would appeal to a collegiate aesthetic.

Pickup Ultimate

PickupUltimate.com is a Google map based website that aims to help people find and play pickup ultimate frisbee games all over the world, and provides accurate, up-to-date information by game coordinators who can easily publish their game information.

This site was developed using a combination of technologies, and built in tandem with Chris Oakman, a computer programmer and fellow ultimate disc player, living in Houston Texas.

Guess Again

GUESS AGAIN is a comedy web series that follows 3 roommates with ZERO life.

The client needed a easy solution to publish their self produced video episodes to their website. Updates are made on a weekly basis, so a content management system was built with the ability to quickly and simply embed video onto the front page, and archive older episodes. A blog was also included to help promote new episodes and features.

Episodes are 4-8 minutes in length and are rated MA for strong language.

Playtogive

Playtogive is an online fundraising service where nonprofits can organize online casual game contests to raise money more efficiently. Their supporters play a fun game and ask their friends and family to sponsor their play with a donation.

The client needed a full branding package including logo design, print marketing material design (business card, company letterhead and envelopes), website design and e-newsletter design.

The website is built in Coldfusion to track membership and donations and relies heavily on jQuery to provide an intuitive and clean user interface.

How much does a postcard design cost?

I charge $250 for a front / back postcard design. These can be used as promotional postcards, save the date postcards, invitations etc. The back of the design meets the standard USPS design requirements so you can drop them in the mail and be certain that the post office will not have any issues mailing the postcard to the desired destination.
